Eagles Focused on ‘enjoying the Moment' After Final Practice

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Eagles held their final practice of the season on Friday at the Gibson-Nagurski Complex on the University of Minnesota campus.

They'll play in the Super Bowl in two days.

Like every Friday, the Eagles focused on red-zone drills and other situational work, according to a pool report. Basically Fridays are for putting the finishing touches on the week of practice.

Doug Pederson thinks his team is ready.

"I've been around these guys all year and I can tell by the way they practice - the speed, the tempo, assignment sound, the energy level," Pederson told pool reporter Kimberley A. Martin. "Things like that lead me to believe because I've seen it all season. Now, that doesn't tell you how they're going to play. But it just tells you that they're prepared and ready to go into this game."

The Eagles practiced for about an hour and 20 minutes before Pederson gathered players, coaches and executives to deliver a lengthy speech about seizing the moment and having fun.

"Play loose, have fun, enjoy the moment," Pederson said to Martin. "These opportunities, as you know, don't come around every year. Also, make sure just to reflect on this season, reflect on the journey that got us here. But just play for one another, have fun and enjoy it."

Based on this Instagram video from Rodney McLeod, keeping the Eagles loose won't be much of a problem.

All 53 members on the Eagles' active roster were full participants and everyone should be ready to play on Sunday, including sick defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (see story).

As they normally do on Saturday's before games, the Eagles will hold a walkthrough tomorrow at U.S. Bank Stadium. The players will be able to check out the site where they'll play in Super Bowl LII on Sunday.

Before the walkthrough, Pederson's longtime teammate Brett Favre will speak to the Eagles at their team hotel in the morning.
