Carson Wentz was limited during Saturday morning's Eagles practice with sore ribs.
He did some work, but didn't appear to take any team reps.
"If you were watching the game the other night, he took a shot – [it was] like [the] next-to-the-last play – got up a little bit slow," head coach Doug Pederson said. "So, he's just sore today. [We] just wanted to protect him, so he didn't throw."
Late in the fourth quarter, Wentz took a shot and seemed to be hurting when he got to his feet. The rookie was crushed by linebacker Micah Awe, who wasn't touched on his way into the backfield. Awe's helmet collided with Wentz's ribs on the quarterback's right side.
Pederson said Wentz will be able to play on Thursday night against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
