It cost over $1 billion for the Dallas Cowboys to be able to call AT&T Stadium their home, but over the past year, "Jerry World" has felt like more of a home to a collegiate program than it has to America's team.
The last time the Cowboys won a home game at AT&T Stadium was one year ago today, when they defeated the Giants, 27-26, in their season opener. Since that win, the Cowboys have gone 0-8 at home, including their Week 1 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
Alabama, on the other hand, has gone a perfect 3-0 at AT&T Stadium over the past year, taking down Wisconsin in the 2015 season opener, Michigan State in the 2016 Cotton Bowl and, most recently, USC on Sept. 3.
During the Cowboys' eight-game losing streak at home they've dropped four games by three points or less and an additional one in overtime, which came at the hands of the Eagles last November.
The Cowboys' struggles at "Jerry World" extend beyond the last year, as they have gone just 26-31 at home over the past seven-plus seasons. The Eagles have accounted for five of those home losses, holding a 5-3 advantage over the Cowboys on the road since AT&T Stadium opened in 2009.
If Dallas' woes continue at home, it might be worthwhile for Jerry Jones to ask (or hire) Nick Saban for his guidance on how to win in Jones' own stadium.
