Frustrated Sixers Fans Burn Tobias Harris With ‘Missing Person' Flyer

'Missing person' Tobias Harris flyer spotted in Philly originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

After the Sixers' embarrassingly bad loss to the Hawks in Game 5, Philly sports fans have officially reached "We are not okay" mode.

While there was plenty of blame to go around, most of it fell on two-thirds of the team's Big Three failing to produce at all in a crucial game. We've covered Sixers fans crushing Ben Simmons ad nauseum, but don't think Tobias Harris is getting off scot-free.

While Simmons was getting pilloried online, Harris got his shaming in these streets courtesy of one Sixers fan who has access to a printer:

SHEESH. Getting a flyer up less than 24 hours after the loss? That is moving with speed!

I sort of feel bad for Harris, the unlikely max contract recipient who actually had an incredible season and has, for the most part, been very good in the playoffs as well. Before Game 5, Harris was averaging 23.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game on 53.8% FG / 40.0% 3P / 83.3% FT shooting splits. That's really good! He was absolutely doing his job in every way through nine playoff games.

And then came Wednesday night, in a game you have to win. Harris took 11 shots and made just two, while also turning the ball over twice. He missed all three of his three-point attempts and never got to the line. At multiple points in the second half, it was easy to forget he was even on the team.

It's just one bad game out of 10 so far this postseason, so you shouldn't really crush the guy, but the bad game came at a terrible time. It came at the point in the playoffs where you need the guys making the big bucks to step up, not shrink. And boy did Harris shrink.

So he'll get roasted by Sixers fans, though not as much as Simmons, until he shows up big time in a future game. Luckily for Harris, he has a perfect chance to right his wrongs in Game 6 and keep this series going.
