These Stars Are Expected to Play for Phillies in Monday's Spring Home Opener

Which Phillies might we see Monday behind Aaron Nola in Clearwater? originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia

After playing in front of a thousand or so fans in Sunday’s spring training opener in Lakeland, the Phillies will get to do so in front of their own supporters for the first time in almost a calendar year Monday in Clearwater.

There is a limit of approximately 2,200 fans for the 1:05 p.m. game Monday at BayCare Ballpark against the Orioles. You can watch the game live on NBC Sports Philadelphia+.

Aaron Nola will start for the Phillies. The O’s will start veteran right-hander Jorge Lopez.

Joe Girardi said Sunday that he expected Jean Segura and Andrew McCutchen to play in the game. It was unclear whether Bryce Harper would start.

The only three regulars who made the 75-minute trip to Lakeland Sunday were Alec Bohm, Scott Kingery and Adam Haseley. Haseley accounted for that trio’s only hit, a leadoff homer.

Of the Phillies’ 14 home spring training games, 12 will be televised on NBC Sports Philadelphia or NBC Sports Philadelphia+, including all three this week and each of the first six.
