The Eagles activated all-pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson from the COVID-19 list on Tuesday morning, clearing him to return immediately to practice.
Johnson, linebacker Nate Gerry and offensive lineman Jordan Mailata were all placed on the COVID reserve list on July 29. Gerry was activated on Sunday. Mailata is now the only player remaining on the list.
Players can go on the COVID-19 list either for testing positive or being in close contact with someone who has tested positive.
NFL teams do not reveal whether players on the COVID list have tested positive, and Johnson is the only one of the three Eagles who was placed on the COVID list who is known to have test positive. He revealed his positive test in a social media post.
According to the NFL's return-to-play protocols, players can be activated off the COVID reserve list once five days have passed since the initial positive test along with two negative tests or 10 days after the positive test if a player has no symptoms.
Johnson, 30, is a three-time Pro Bowl right tackle. He's entering his eighth year with the Eagles.
