Well folks, it happened.
Markelle Fultz is officially done in Philadelphia after just 33 games, one shining triple-double and about 49385495 unanswered questions still remaining. He'll be heading to Orlando after the Sixers traded with the Magic on Thursday afternoon (see story).
The internet, as the internet does, had a lot to say about it after the curious case of Markelle Fultz has concluded it's time in Philly.
There is some sadness, there is some relief and there are some funny takes.
Whatever he becomes will be away from a disastrous tenure here and that's the best for all parties involved. We can all move on— Zo (@Tweets_By_Zo) February 7, 2019

Fultz story has just been so sad. Will never make any sense and we will never get the real story. Remember how happy we were when the Sixers traded up. It seemed to good to be true and somehow it was. Sad to see him go, but really hope he figured it out. Still my guy.— Drew Corrigan (@Dcorrigan50) February 7, 2019
Legit hope the best for Markelle and his future, but relieved the cloud of BC is essentially no longer over the team at all— Very Real Jim (@jimadair3) February 7, 2019
Time out. The Magic gave up WHAT for Fultz? Holy crap. pic.twitter.com/1a6XW3VtdQ— Drew Evanylo (@Drewzer208) February 7, 2019

Hearing the first thing fultz said after hearing of trade to Orlando was "mom can we please go to magic kingdom first"— swaggy mitch (@SwaggyMitch) February 7, 2019
Markelle Fultz really needed the change of scenery from Philly.
If you're a Magic fan, you're just hoping he can live up to a portion of his potential.
However, I don't blame you if you feel like this post-Dwight rebuild is stuck in I-4 traffic. #PureMagic— Eric Henry (@EricCHenry_) February 7, 2019
Fultz to the Magic!! We desperately needed a PG as bad as he desperately needed a new team. Its a win for everyone involved. #PureMagic— The Gaffer (@TheGaffer1878) February 7, 2019

When I put all my time and effort into convincing myself Markelle was gonna turn it around and be great, but also realizing trading him was for the best. pic.twitter.com/kWKkNv5OFu— Joe Hanley (@jrhanley91) February 7, 2019
While we wish Fultz the best of luck and a brand new start that he was not able to get in Philadelphia, there is a collective sigh of relief as the Sixers unburden themselves from this wild roller coaster ride.
See ya in a month when the Magic come visit, Markelle.
