It's no surprise the Sixers are looking to trade a big man for backcourt help.
League sources told CSNPhilly.com's John Gonzalez on Friday the Sixers are shopping Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor and looking for backcourt help in return.
As reported Thursday, the Sixers have had talks with the Atlanta Hawks about a package deal involving Noel and point guard Jeff Teague.
However, no deal has been offered and no deal is imminent, according to league sources.
Noel, 22, averaged averaged 11.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in his second NBA season, while shooting 52.1 percent from the floor.
Teague, an All-Star in 2014-15, averaged 15.7 points and 5.9 assists per game in 2015-16. The 27-year-old set career highs in three-point field goals made (110) and three-point field goal percentage (40.0).
The Boston Celtics reportedly have had serious interest in Okafor since the trade deadline and many believe Boston could be a possible landing spot if the Sixers were to trade the center before the draft.

The Sixers have an abundance of talent in the frontcourt with Noel and Okafor, while Joel Embiid appears ready to make his NBA debut next season and Dario Saric is reportedly ready to make the jump from Turkey to the NBA.
With a lack of talent in the backcourt, the Sixers would like to clear up the logjam in their frontcourt to improve their backcourt.
Stay tuned.
