After taking Ben Simmons No. 1 overall and all of the proposed trades fell by the wayside, the Sixers made their two other first-round selections.
The Sixers went international by nabbing French swingman Timothe Luwawu with the No. 24 pick and Turkish guard Furkan Korkmaz with the 26th pick in Thursday's 2016 NBA draft.
Luwawu (6-7, 205), from France, averaged 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game last season in the Adriatic League. He shot 41.9 percent and 39.8 percent from three-point range.
Korkmaz (6-7, 185) is a teammate of Dario Saric with Anadolu Efes. He averaged just 2.7 points in 8.8 minutes per game off the bench. However, the 18-year-old shot 39.1 percent from three-point range.
