A day after reports surfaced that the Sixers could trade up for the No. 1 pick, projected top pick Markelle Fultz will work out for the Sixers Saturday.
The Sixers concluded a workout with Kentucky guard De'Aaron Fox this afternoon and are now having the projected No. 1 pick come into their practice facility.
The Sixers and Celtics are in serious and deep trade talks involving Boston's No. 1 overall pick, according to reports on Friday by ESPN and The Vertical.
According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, Fultz's visit is to "clear (the) way toward finalizing a deal" for the No. 1 pick. He also added that the trade centers around the No. 3, the Lakers' unprotected pick in 2018, "and possibly 2021 1st -- including complicated protections."
Fultz, a high-scoring combo guard out of Washington, has been the presumed No. 1 pick for most of the college basketball season and into the offseason. The 19-year-old measures in at 6-foot-4 with a 7-foot wingspan. In his lone season with the Huskies, Fultz averaged 23.2 points (47.6 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from three), 5.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds.
