No matter what, for one Sixers fan, the 2018-19 season will be one he will never forget.
Back in March, Sixers fan and Libery Ballers contributor Matthew del Rio, @mdelNBA on Twitter, made a promise. If he got 1,000 followers, he'd get a Mike Scott tattoo on his neck.
If you guys get me to 1,000 followers by tomorrow, I'll tattoo "Mike Scott" on my neck— Waiting for Playoff Anžejs (@mdelNBA) March 26, 2019
Well…it happened, thanks to some help from Spike Eskin and fans of the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, and del Rio was a man of his word, as he chose to get the tattoo on his ribs instead.
Back in March, I tweeted that I'd get a Mike Scott tattoo if I got to 1,000 followers by the next day. @SpikeEskin made sure that happened. I'm a man of my word, so here it is: pic.twitter.com/iTPWYnDN8m— Waiting for Playoff Anžejs (@mdelNBA) April 30, 2019

The reaction from Scott, who is heavily tatted himself, is hilarious.

Looks like it'll land him inside Wells Fargo Center, too.

Fair play to del Rio, who was a man of his word and I think a rib tattoo is certainly an okay substitute for deciding not to get this ink on his neck.
Love to see this kind of dedication. Now let's get him 2,000 followers and see what happens.
