CAMDEN, N.J. -- Joel Embiid is available to play Friday against the Pistons after hustling through a right hand injury Wednesday.
Embiid is not listed on the Sixers' medical update, which includes Fultz (shoulder) and Korkmaz (foot) as out. Justin Anderson's status is officially questionable (shin splints), but he said he expects to be available to play.
Now it's a question of whether or not there will be a rematch of the Embiid vs. Andre Drummond battle. The Pistons center sat out the Pistons' last game because of bruised ribs. His status for Friday night still is to be determined, according to The Detroit News. Embiid and Drummond swapped banter earlier this season, as Embiid has done with other bigs around the league.
Embiid was active in shooting exercises following shootaround on Friday morning, as was Ben Simmons. Usually, Simmons is working on free throws during media availability, but on this occasion, he went through a series of drills with Embiid, Anderson and Robert Covington.
