We sat down with Phillies slugger Rhys Hoskins and his fiancee Jayme Bermudez to get to know their cute dog named Rookie.
He is a 2-year-old English Golden Retriever who Hoskins had his eyes set on for years. It took some convincing to get Jayme on board with the idea of a dog, though.
"He had Rookie's name picked out before Rookie even existed by like three years," Jayme told us. "Rookie is always happy, always content with whatever he's doing."
One of the best things about having Rookie is that no matter how Rhys performed at the ballpark that day, the dog is always happy to see his best friend return home.
"Who doesn't love a dog?" Hoskins added.
