Keep Those All-Star Votes Coming

Phils players need your votes for the All-Star Game

The 2010 All-Star Game is quickly approaching and the Phils need your help.

You can make sure which players make the cut by casting your votes at the All-Star Ballot on MLB.com.

Chase Utley is currently in lead for second base and Placido Polanco for third, but Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins are trailing in second place for first basemen and shortstop. And outfielders Shane Victorino and Jayson Werth have dropped out of the Top-3 in the past few weeks.

Maybe the Phillies recent struggles on the field have All-Star voters casting their ballots elsewhere. Just two weeks ago the Phillies had five guys on pace to start in the Midsummer Classic.

There’s a limit to 25 votes per person, so vote! Ballots close on July 1 at 12 a.m.

Once the starting rosters are announced on July 4 at the All-Star Game Selection Show on TBS, fans can vote until July 8 for the final player from each MLB team. Last year Victorino took home that honor.

We’ve kept Utley at first, now let’s make sure he’s surrounded by his fellow Phils on July 13 at the All-Star Game.
