Eagles lineman Todd Herremans looks like he’s at it again possibly putting his foot in his mouth (or is it cover on his keyboard) on Twitter.
Herremans, who caused a media firestorm during last summer’s training camp with his “barrage of homosexuality” quote about HBO’s True Blood, has once again put out a tweet that could rub people the wrong way.
“What a turnaround... Rapistberger to Religiousberger... Good for him!”
Thursday’s tweet referenced Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger’s recent engagement to Ashley Harlan.
Considering Big Ben’s history Herremans tweet might hit the right chord with some fans but -- as pointed out by Deadspin’s A.J. Daulerio -- Herremans might have “set himself up for another apology pretty soon with this one.”
Of course with the lockout in effect any apology wouldn’t be allowed to be at the suggestion of the Eagles.
