He served the Phillies for 38 years, shouldn't his memory live on? We think so.
McFadden’s at the Ballpark will host a fundraiser on Friday, April 23, to raise money towards a Harry Kalas statue. It’s $20 to get in, with half of that going towards the $80,000 goal.
Fans of Harry Kalas will fund and build a seven-foot-tall monument that will outlast our fond memories. When completed, the statue will be publicly offered as a gift to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Appearances at the party by the Philadelphia Passion football team and comedian/spot-on Harry impersonator Joe Conklin will highlight the event for fans 21 and older.
Dollar dogs, $3 Bud Lights, and $4 wine and mixed drinks will be sure to have Harry smiling somewhere.
The event runs from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., and tickets are available now at HarryKalasStatue.com. Make sure you grab one before their "Outta here."
You can make donations via the website as well.
