College basketball fans with a bad case of March Madness can get their fix a day early.
All eight teams playing opening round NCAA Tournament games in Philadelphia will be holding open practices on Wednesday. Fans can get a sneak peak of Texas A&M, Tennessee-Chattanooga, BYU, UCLA, VCU, American University, UConn and Villanova.
The best part is that it's free (including parking).
It might only be practice -- that's right Allen Iverson we're talking about practice -- but it can be a great chance to cheer on tourney teams.
The Wachovia Center will be open to fans for team practices, according to Comcast-Spectacor's Eric Nemeth. Each practice is scheduled for 40 minutes.
The action (or lack thereof) is split into two segments.
The first session kicks off at noon and runs until about 3 p.m. Top-seeded UConn is the highlight of the first practices -- the Huskies take the floor at 2:15 p.m.
