Good Deed: Steve Mason Replaces 13-year-old's Stolen Goalie Equipment

When he's not making saves for the Flyers, goalie Steve Mason is saving the day for at least one youngster who had his goalie equipment stolen.

According to a story from Quinte News, 13-year-old Jake Mattice from Belleview, Ontario had his goalie equipment stolen from his father's car, which spurred the creation of a GoFund Me page to raise money for replacement equipment.

In addition to thousands of others, Mason saw the story and reached out to the family to see how he could help out. He bought Mattice new pads, a blocker and a glove to replace the ones that were stolen.

Mattice plays for the Belleville Junior Bulls, a team located about 140 miles from Oakville, Ontario, where Mason grew up, and 430 miles from Philadelphia. Despite the distance, Mason may have a few more fans now because of this act of kindness.

Well done, Steve.
