The Flyers avoided potentially losing defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere to the Vegas Golden Knights prior to the expansion draft by re-signing him on Friday.
They still have to protect him in the expansion draft, however.
It's a six-year deal with an annual average value of $4.5 million.
Gostisbehere was a restricted free agent.
