Flyers' Rough Start to '14 Still Dramatic Improvement Over Disaster '13

Over the first week or so of the new season, Philadelphia Flyers fans haven’t necessarily had visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads.

With the team’s 1-2-2 record and four points out of the gate, Philly fans have instead had the memories of last season’s miserable start haunting their dreams.

And while it’s been a tough starting stretch for the Orange and Black, the fact of the matter is that the Flyers haven’t played terribly against incredibly stiff competition over the first five games of this season.
