Flyers Wives Fight for Lives by Throwing a Carnival

Flyers fans can get a bit closer to their heroes Sunday while helping out those in need.

The annual Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival will take place on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Carnival has raised more than $23 million to Philadelphia-area charities since its inception in 1977.

Pre-sold tickets to meet the Fly Guys are sold out but there will still be plenty of opportunities to meet the Flyers of past and present, the team said.

And, there are plenty of other fun things to do.

Fans will be able to take a shot-on-goal as well as take pictures with the Stanley Cup. There will be a dunk tank, Wii boxing on a 16-foot inflatable movie screen, rock band, and Guitar Hero. Plus there will be magicians, face painting and balloon artists in the Kids Zone.

Be sure to bring that checkbook because along with the fun activities there will be numerous raffles and auctions. The grand prize raffle is a 2011 Toyota RAV4 and second place is a sapphire LAGOS Flyers fan pendant on a new leather necklace.

General admission tickets are available at the door or online at ComcastTIX.com.Prices start at just 15 bucks for kids and 20 bucks for adults.
