Flyers Game Stops After Puck Hits Girl

The Flyers cruised to another big win as they downed the Senators 5-1 Monday night. But the game on the ice took a backseat to the action in the stands after a deflected puck hit a young girl.

The game was stopped for a few moments in the first period when a 7-year-old girl was struck in the head after a puck deflected into the stands.

While play was stopped, Philadelphia defenseman Sean O'Donnell brought a rag over from the bench as medical crews attended to her.

Within minutes, the girl's father carried her out of the arena. She was taken to Methodist Hospital and received five stitches just over her swollen eye.

Thankfully the girl is expected to be OK, her dad said.
