Flyers' Carter Scores All-Star Nod

The Flyers' goal scoring machine, a.k.a. Jeff Carter, is Montreal bound.

Don't worry he wasn't traded -- Carter has been named a reserve for the 2009 NHL East All-Stars.

The 24-year-old center has been an offensive force for the Fly Guys.

Carter is tied for the league lead with 27 goals this season helping lead the Flyers into a first place tie in the Atlantic Division.

He also has 17 assists, 44 points and is plus seven on the ice this season.

His knack for scoring also spreads to penalty kills where he is tied for the league lead with four shorthanded goals.

Carter was the Flyers first round pick in the 2003 NHL draft. He has been an ironman of sorts playing in nearly every Flyers game since finding the ice in the 2005-2006 season.

Let's all wish -- bonne chance Monsieur Carter.
