Week 1 Point Spreads Are Out: Eagles 2.5-point Underdogs

We're still more than four months away from the start of the NFL season, but that hasn't stopped Vegas for betting on sports lines.

Week 1 lines are already available from Bovada, and the Eagles (7-9 last year) are 2½-point underdogs against division-rival Washington Redskins (8-7-1).

While both teams will have the same quarterbacks (Carson Wentz for the Eagles and Kirk Cousins for the Redskins), they will feature different weapons on the outside. The Eagles signed receivers Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith during free agency and drafted North Carolina's Mack Hollins and West Virginia's Shelton Gibson in the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively.

Washington lost receivers Pierre Garcon and former Eagle DeSean Jackson in free agency. However, it signed Terrelle Pryor Sr. in free agency to a one-year deal.

Other intriguing matchups in Week 1 include the reigning Super Bowl champion Patriots (-7½) against the Chiefs, runner-up Falcons (-6½) versus the Bears and fellow division rivals Cowboys (-5½) and the Giants.
