The NFL Draft in Philly Wants You to Park in South Philly and Take SEPTA

The 2017 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday April 27 and the city of Philadelphia says they expect a whopping 200,000 fans to come through to enjoy the NFL Experience along the Parkway.

With dozens of street closings around the Museum of Art, parking will surely be a nightmare. That's why they're encouraging fans coming into town to park all the way over in South Philly at the sports complex and take SEPTA down the Broad Street Line and exit at City Hall.

The good news for fans is the parking in South Philly will be free.

From the Draft in Philly website:

Free parking for the NFL Draft Experience is available in South Philadelphia at both Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center beginning 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, and continuing through Saturday, April 29. In addition, fans exploring the annual Penn Relays event at Franklin Field in West Philadelphia are also invited to park for free and ride SEPTA as a convenient transportation option.

So the parking is free but you've got to buck up roughly $2.25 per person to hop on the Broad Street Line. I'd suggest you bring cash as well but you can also attempt to get a SEPTA Key card now because it's 2017.
