FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The Baltimore Ravens say former tight end Konrad Reuland has died at the age of 29 following a brain aneurism.
Coach John Harbaugh opened his post-game news conference after Monday night's loss to the New England Patriots by announcing Reuland's death.
Reuland was attempting to recover from a brain aneurism he suffered last month. A Ravens spokesman says Reuland's mother informed the team that he died Monday.
"We love Konrad Reuland," Harbaugh said. "Every single guy in that locker room loves him that knows him."
Harbaugh offered his condolences to Reuland's family and quoted from the Biblical book of Psalms, saying: "God is our refuge and our strength."
Besides the Ravens, Reuland spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets. He played in 30 games total over three seasons, catching 12 passes for 90 yards.
Dolphins: Mike Pouncey goes on IR
DAVIE, Fla. — Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey is being placed on season-ending injured reserve because of hip injury that limited him to five games this year.

Pouncey missed the first four games while he recovered from hip surgery, played in five consecutive games and was then sidelined again. Running back Jay Ajayi had back-to-back 200-yard games with Pouncey in the lineup.
The 27-year-old Pouncey was a Pro Bowl player in 2013-15. His hip problems date at least to 2014, when he missed the first four games of the season because of an injury. He said in October he has wondered how long he'll be able to continue to play.
Anthony Steen has been starting in place of Pouncey for the Dolphins (8-5), who will also be without quarterback Ryan Tannehill because of a knee injury when they play Saturday at the New York Jets.
Also Dolphins: QB T.J. Yates signed
MIAMI — Veteran quarterback T.J. Yates has signed with the Miami Dolphins, who were in the market for a reinforcement in the wake of starter Ryan Tannehill's knee injury.
Yates last played in 2015 with Houston, making two starts. He had five starts with the Texans in 2011, and has also played for Atlanta.
Yates, who signed Tuesday, will back up Matt Moore on Saturday at the New York Jets. Tannehill sprained his left knee Sunday against Arizona and will likely miss the rest of the season.
