Lions linebacker Miles Killebrew was fined $10,527 for unnecessary roughness from when he nearly tore Miles Sanders' head off last week against the Eagles, NBC Sports Philadelphia has confirmed.
While it was a clear facemask, the officials on the field simply missed it. There was no flag.

As obvious as it was, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson didn't want to comment last week after the game:

"Not going to get into a whole lot on that. It appeared on the field it might have been a facemask. It's hard to see. The game is so fast. Sometimes too where the hand is it can still pull a helmet off, but we just have to look at the tape and see what happened."
What happened was a blatant facemask and a blatant missed call from the zebras.
Before Thursday's game against the Packers, Sanders said he was fine, but hadn't heard anything from the league on the play.
In the last two games, Sanders has 329 all-purpose yards and he had a big kick return against the Packers. He was definitely OK after the facemask from Killebrew, but it could have been much, much worse.
This is the second time in the last two years, refs have missed an obvious facemask call that went against the Eagles. Jadeveon Clowney should have been called for one against Nick Foles last December.
