Eagles Vs. Ravens Live: Highlights, Analysis From NFL Preseason Game

10:40 p.m.: They've called it. The Eagles lose a lightning-shortened game, 26-15.

10:13 p.m.: We have a lightning delay. There's 11:43 left in this game.

Oof.

10:03 p.m.: With a minute left in the third quarter, Clayton Thorson is in the game.

9:54 p.m.: The Eagles just scored their second touchdown of the game. McCown threw a 9-yard pass for a touchdown and then the Eagles scored on the two-point conversion on a Josh Adams run. We've got a game!

Still in the 3rd: Ravens 26, Eagles 15

Stat update: Rookie JJ Arcega-Whiteside has eight catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. He caught a ball basically off the ground during the last drive.

9:36 p.m.: Beautiful toss from Old Man McCown to hit JJ Arcega-Whiteside in the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown pass. JJAW is having himself a day. He's pretty good and he's the Eagles' fourth receiver. That speaks to their depth there.

Still in the 3rd: Ravens 26, Eagles 7

9:08 p.m.: The Ravens just beat Jeremiah McKinnon for another touchdown. Rough game for him. Baltimore is up 26-0 and we have another half of this crap-fest.

8:58 p.m.: Jake Elliott just missed a 41-yard field goal and this is something to keep an eye on. He's now missed a 41-yarder and a 40-yarder this preseason, while he's 2-for-2 on kicks of 50-plus. This is kind of what we've seen from Elliott during his career here. His short- and mid-range game isn't always great, but he has the big leg for long kicks.

8:40 p.m.: Trace McSorley just threw an absolute dime to Michael Floyd, who beat Jeremiah McKinnon on a 28-yard touchdown. Bad series for Josh Hawkins and McKinnon. At least the Eagles have enough CB depth without them this year.

Still in 2nd quarter: Ravens 19, Eagles 0

Side note: John Harbaugh loves him some preseason. If the Ravens win tonight, it'll be their 16th straight preseason win. OK, Harbs.

8:33 p.m.: Josh McCown is still in the game but now he's behind the second-team OL. Interesting note that Stefen Wisniewski is the second-team right guard and Nate Herbig is the second-team center. Wiz has really struggled with bad snaps this summer and it's probably safer to have McCown out there with the youngest player on the team who hadn't played center until this summer snapping him the ball instead of the seasoned veteran with a Super Bowl ring.

8:29 p.m.: Daeshon Hall just drew a hold on a two-point conversion attempt. He keeps making plays this preseason.

8:24 p.m.: After a 15-yard penalty on Marken Michel on the punt, the Ravens marched down the field to pick up a touchdown on a Trace McSorley run.

The penalty isn't a good thing for Michel; he needs to perform well on special teams if he wants to make this roster.

And there were some missed tackles from some second-team defenders. That isn't what you want to see.

8:19 p.m.: The Eagles' first-team defense is finished for the night early in the second quarter. They gave up 63 yards and 44 came on one play. Big plays killed them last season, so that's less than ideal. Overall, though, they did a fine job on Thursday night. They gave up two field goals, but one came after Baltimore got great field position.

8:10 p.m.: Nice TFL for Rodney McLeod on second down. He already has four tackles in this game. It's his first action since September and he looks good.

A few plays earlier, Rasul Douglas and Malcolm Jenkins ran into each other trying to make a tackle on a 44-yard play.

This is the end of the first quarter.

7:54 p.m.: Annnnd I've seen enough of Cody Kessler.

7:48 p.m.: The Eagles gave up a field goal on their first defensive series after the Eagles' offense turned the ball over on downs. Justin Tucker's field goal range is from everywhere.

When the Eagles went to their base defense, Avonte Maddox came out and L.J. Fort came in.

It's a great sign that McLeod is going to be ready for the start of the season. He's very important to this team as that deep safety. The Eagles have some depth at safety, but no one really qualified to play that deep safety role like McLeod.

Good first series from Brandon Graham, who snuffed out an end-around for a TFL.

7:38 p.m.: Corey Clement gets the start and picks up a few quick runs. He looks good. That's a good sign. He hasn't played in a game since his knee injury in December.

The Eagles came out in 11 personnel and then went to 12, bringing in Josh Perkins.

7:35 p.m.: Good sign right before kickoff.

7:09 p.m.: Looks like we'll see the starters for the first quarter, but no Carson Wentz.

7:02 p.m.: The Bodyguard is ready to go.

6:53 p.m.: Wentz is in uniform tonight, as he was last week.

6:10 p.m.: Brandon Brooks is out there. It's been a big week for the right guard, who still sees Week 1 as a possibility.

5:43 p.m.: Corey Clement is warming up and making one-handed grabs.

He's one of my 10 players to watch tonight.

5:23 p.m.: Josh McCown is here for his first game as an Eagle.

And he's apparently going to be thrown right into the action ...

4:23 p.m.: I have arrived to the Linc!

And it sounds like at least some of the Eagles starters are going to play against the Ravens. That should be fun.
