Eagles Undrafted DT Connor Wujciak Has Surgery, Out for Season

Eagles defensive tackle Connor Wujciak had shoulder surgery on Wednesday morning and will miss his entire rookie season, a source confirmed to CSNPhilly.com.

ESPN's Adam Caplan first reported the news.

Wujciak, a 23-year-old undrafted free agent from Boston College, has had a rough go in the last few months. In the spring, he had surgery on his thumb that required a pin, but came back ready for training camp this summer.

He hurt his shoulder during practice. After a successful surgery, he'll be placed on Injured Reserve by the Eagles.

Once Wujciak heads to IR, the Eagles will have an open spot on their 90-man roster.

In 49 career games at Boston College, Wujciak had 112 tackles and 21.5 tackles for loss. He was one of three undrafted defensive tackles the team added this spring, along with Aziz Shittu and Destiny Vaeao.
