NEW ORLEANS - The Eagles lost their most consistent lineman on Sunday.
Brandon Brooks was carted off the field with 6:05 left in the first quarter in New Orleans. It wasn't exactly clear what happened on the play. Brooks was replaced by Stefen Wisniewski and missed the remainder of the game.
The whole team came over to wish Brooks well as he was carted off.
Brooks tweeted after the Eagles' 20-14 loss (see Roob's observations) that he tore his Achilles.
Wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the well wishes. Yeah it sucks I tore my Achilles but you know what I look forward to attacking rehab like it's a game. I look forward to this long journey. God got me and this did nothing but light a fire I needed— Brandon Brooks (@bbrooks_79) January 14, 2019

Brooks was named to his second straight Pro Bowl this season and has quickly asserted himself as one of the best guards in the NFL. He's certainly one of the best free agent pickups in Eagles history.
