Eagles Injury Update: Brandon Brooks Suffers Leg Injury Vs. Saints

Updated: 5:54 p.m.

NEW ORLEANS - The Eagles just lost their most consistent lineman.

Brandon Brooks was carted off the field with 6:05 left in the first quarter Sunday. It wasn't exactly clear what happened on the play. Brooks was replaced by Stefen Wisniewski and is officially questionable to return with a leg injury.

The whole team came over to wish Brooks well as he was carted off.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rappoport, Brooks is likely out for the season.

Because Chance Warmack and Matt Pryor were inactive, the Eagles are down to just one backup offensive lineman: Halapoulivaati Vaitai. That's not a great spot to be in with so much of this game to go.

Brooks was named to his second straight Pro Bowl this season and has quickly asserted himself as one of the best guards in the NFL. He's certainly one of the best free agent pickups in Eagles history.

The Eagles scored their second touchdown shortly after Brooks left the game.
