It looks like Allen Barbre is sticking around for 2017.
While the Eagles had given Barbre an opportunity to seek a trade, the team is now expected to bring him back next season, a league source confirmed. The Philadelphia Inquirer first reported the news on Thursday morning.
Barbre, 32, might end up being a backup this season, but should be a pretty good one. And at a cap hit of $2.25 million, he won't crush the Eagles.
Barbre was the starter at left guard in 2016, but it appears as though second-year player Isaac Seumalo might replace him in the starting lineup. With Stefen Wisniewski set to become a free agent, Barbre can be that veteran backup.
Since joining the Eagles in 2013, Barbre has played 44 games (29 starts) with the Eagles.
While Barbre will be back in 2017, it looks like running back Kenjon Barner won't be. At least he'll get a chance to test the market. The Eagles won't be placing a tender on the 27-year-old running back, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman. That means Barner will become a free agent when the league year opens at 4 p.m.

While Barner has shown promise at times during his tenure with the Eagles, the coaching staff didn't seem to keen on using him over the last two years.
He had just 55 carries for 253 yards and two touchdowns over the last two years.
