The Eagles have brought back Bruce Hector to their practice squad.
Hector was waived earlier this week as the team promoted Treyvon Hester to the active roster. But once Hector cleared waivers, the Eagles wanted him back on their practice squad.
Hector, an undrafted rookie DT from USF, played just 18 snaps on defense in the first four games and just 12 snaps on special teams. Hester has more experience and might actually be able to get in the rotation on defense (see story).
But Hector is a young and coachable player, so it makes sense to keep him around. He earned his 53-man roster spot in training camp, when he passed former draft pick Elijah Qualls on the depth chart.
