The cornerback position has been something of a thorn in the side of the Philadelphia Eagles for years now. Fans are hoping Sidney Jones and to a lesser extent Rasul Douglas can finally change that.
But as it currently stands, the Birds are certainly not real solid at corner heading into the season.
"It's a position that we continue to look even outside, as we do every position," Pederson said early in training camp. "And as you know, we're going to continue to look and try to bring in guys if we can and just create as much competition at that spot."

Enter former beleaguered Bird Byron Maxwell who is playing pretty well for the Miami Dolphins these days and is also excited to come back to Philly and show them how the Eagles messed up. He was asked about the Dolphins trip up to Philly in two weeks for the joint practice sessions after practice yesterday. From the Palm Beach Post:
He's not exactly done with that vendetta. He mentioned it again after today's practice and is eagerly awaiting the Dolphins' upcoming trip to Philadelphia-"I am, I'm looking forward to it," he said-in which they'll hold joint practices with the Eagles before facing them in the Aug. 24 preseason game.
He still knows some people on the team, but his main interest is in providing the Eagles with an up-close reminder of why they shouldn't have given up on him one season into a six-year, $63 million deal.
"Well, yeah, I would like to think they (messed) up," he said. "Their season didn't go too well. Yeah. And who says their season's gonna go well this year? We'll see. But I'm worried about the Miami Dolphins."
Maxwell's time in Philly was pretty much in tune with the disaster that the Chip Kelly era turned into. It's hard to second guess shipping him out when they did but he's performed very well for the Dolphins while the Eagles have had to use plenty of picks on the CB position.
Maxwell and the Dolphins will play in Philly on August 24th and share a couple joint practices at the NovaCare Complex in the days prior. Kiko Alonso, the linebacker who made that one nice interception once for the Eagles, will also be making a return appearance.
