The Eagles are bringing their paper tickets to life with the help of the team's mobile app.
Using augmented reality (AR) technology, fans can get access to special videos from their favorite players. The app recognizes cues in an image, which triggers the video to play.
Those of us (myself included) who are unlucky enough not to have a cache of tickets, never fear! A mock-up on the team's Facebook page let's you test it out for yourself.
"We know this is an exciting time for us as an organization when the season starts, we know it's an exciting time for the fans when the tickets arrive and this is sort of, you know, another element," says Eagles president Don Smolenski.
