Eagles Cut Hargrove and Landri

Eagles defensive linemen Anthony Hargrove and Derek Landri are early victims of cut day, according to CSN Philly.

Both players were released on Saturday after signing with the team in early August.

Hargrove, 28, tweeted the news on his Twitter account while a source confirmed Landri’s release.

Back in 2008, Hargrove received a one-year suspension in 2008 for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He came back from the suspension however and won a Super Bowl ring with the New Orleans Saints in 2009.

Landri, 27, played for the Jaguars and Panthers before signing with the Eagles.

Final cuts down to the regular-season limit of 53 are due by 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles still have 11 defensive linemen left on the roster.

In addition to Hargrove and Landri, the Birds cut nine other players on Friday including Tight-end Cornelius Ingram.
