Demand for Sixers' Playoff Tickets Among Highest in NBA

It's safe to say the city of Philadelphia is uniting around the Sixers as they head redhot into the postseason. Winning a record 16-straight games rolling into the playoffs can certainly excite a fanbase.

If you remember back to the wild Iverson-led run of 2001, perhaps the thing that sticks out more than anything - aside from A.I. stepping over Tyronn - was the incredible support they received from the entire city.

We could see a repeat of that impressive support this season.

And by one metric the Sixers have the highest demand for home playoff tickets of any team in the playoffs. The get-in price for a Sixers game at home is currently $105, according to secondary market seller TicketIQ, higher than all of the other playoff series.

Maybe Sixers fans will want to buy a budget flight to Miami where "get-in" tickets are currently less than $50 for a Heat-Sixers game.

"Get-in" price is the lowest a fan can pay to get tickets to the game which is often a better true barometer of demand than average ticket price which can be skewed by super high-end seats.

People love to talk about how loud the building was back in 2001 during that exciting run. I'm willing to bet the Wells Fargo Center matches that intensity over the next few weeks.

Also of note, it's kind of crazy that you could get into a LeBron James playoff game in Cleveland for a cool twenty-dollar bill.
