We always knew Joel Embiid was the one, now EA Sports put it on a cover.
Monday night during the NBA awards show, it was announced that Embiid would be this year's cover athlete for NBA Live 19 The ONE edition, which is a play on NBA Live's career mode called "The One." The cover is pretty slick, too.

NBA Live has been around since 1994 and this is the first time a Sixer has been on the cover. However, Allen Iverson has been on the cover of the NBA 2K series of games.
If you're wondering about a cover athlete curse, there was one circulating last year about players leaving their respective teams.

Fortunately for the Sixers, last year's cover athlete, James Harden, won the MVP this year and is likely going to stay put in Houston. We think we can say the same about JoJo in Philly.
