The Sixers Either Just Teased a New Alternate Jersey Or Are Trolling Us

Two prominent employees of the Philadelphia 76ers showed a glimpse of a new uniform design on Tuesday, either hinting at what could likely be the team's new Statement or City Edition jerseys or they're trolling us.

The short video, posted by Sixers' microphone/hype man Christian Crosby featuring the team's president, Chris Heck, and appears to feature a blue jersey that leaked a few weeks ago with "Philadelphia" written across the front in script.

The fact that the video features these two prominent employees would lead me to believe these are legit.

It also appears to be the same mannequin that leaked earlier as well.

The mannequin and tweet also feature Crosby's clothing brand, Live Life Nice, which made some news recently with new gear being sold at Footlocker. Could this all be a troll job just to promote that? Maybe.

Or the jersey shown above could very well be the new Statement or City Edition jerseys for the 2019-2020 season. The team unveiled their Classic Edition unis that are a throwback to the 70's earlier this month. The two regularly featured jersey editions, the Icon (standard blue) and Association (standard white) round out the jersey options we already know for the upcoming season. The City Edition featured the Rocky Balboa inspired sweatpant look last season while the Statement Edition were the red with "Sixers" across the front in a unique script. Those two editions could be up for a change this coming season. Teams are allowed five in total.
