Sixers Vs. Knicks: 3 Storylines to Watch and How to Stream the Game

The 76ers (20-12) are hosting the New York Knicks (9-23) Wednesday night for the second time at the Wells Fargo Center this season.

Coming off a disheartening loss to the San Antonio Spurs two nights earlier, the Sixers will be looking to get back to form at home tonight.

• When: 7 p.m. ET with Sixers Pregame Live at 6:30 p.m.
• Where: Wells Fargo Center
• Broadcast: NBC Sports Philadelphia
• Live stream: NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and the NBC Sports MyTeams app

Here are three storylines to watch:

Rinse and repeat

Three weeks ago, the Sixers dropped 41 points in the first quarter against the Knicks and cruised to a wire-to-wire victory. JJ Redick finished with 24 points on 10 of 14 shooting (14 of which were in the first quarter), Ben Simmons had a solid all-around game in just 26 minutes of play and Joel Embiid had 26 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists in 30 minutes.

3 observations after Sixers lose dramatic, controversial game in Harden's return

The Knicks just didn't have an answer and the Sixers locked down defensively. No reason not to have the same result tonight.

Spirit fingers

There are some teams that are better than their record says (Brooklyn, as an example). The same cannot be said for the Knicks.

Offensively, the Knicks are last in the league in assists and shooting just 43.8 percent from the field. Defensively, they're giving up 115.4 points per game (42.6 made field goals) and teams are shooting 36.8 percent from three.

The Sixers are coming off one of their worst losses this season in San Antonio and should come out to prove a point with that "spirit" Brett Brown said was completely lacking against the Spurs. The Sixers are the better team in every sense of the game, and we should feel that at the Wells Fargo Center tonight.

Enes Kanter

If you've watched any handful of Knicks games this year (or you're just an #NBATwitter fan - see here for example) you might have noticed a common theme. Kanter struggles big time with pick- and-roll defense. Big time. The Sixers have to attack that again tonight (they did a pretty solid job of it in their last matchup). I'm looking at you, Redick and Embiid. Let's get that two-man game going!
