Sixers Officially Sign Veteran Swingman Gerald Henderson to Deal

At least one deal is done.

The Sixers have officially signed veteran swingman Gerald Henderson.

Henderson, 28, averaged 8.7 points last season, shooting 44 percent from the field and 35 percent from three in his first and only season in Portland. Prior to that, the Duke product spent six seasons with the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets.

The 12th overall pick in 2009, Henderson has local ties, starring at Episcopal Academy alongside Wayne Ellington. Ellington went to rival Duke.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but sources confirmed to CSNPhilly.com's Jessica Camerato that Henderson is signing a two-year, $18 million deal.

The Sixers have still not announced the reported signings of combo guard Jerryd Bayless or Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez.
