Sixers Injury Update: Robert Covington (lower Back Soreness) Questionable for Wednesday's Game at Pacers

CAMDEN, N.J. - The status of two key Sixers is up in the air for Wednesday night's game against the Pacers.

Robert Covington is questionable with lower back soreness that Brett Brown called "lingering."

Mike Muscala suffered a facial laceration during practice, getting hit in the eye and nose, according to Brown. He will be re-evaluated before the Sixers' flight to Indiana.

The 6-5 Sixers' search for their first road win after Sunday's blowout loss to the Nets will be made more difficult if Covington doesn't play. He's lived up to last season's First Team All-Defense honor, with 22 steals (tied for second in the NBA), 31 deflections (tied for third) and 17 blocks, the most of any perimeter player in the league.

Muscala, who missed the Sixers' first three games with an ankle sprain, is averaging 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds. He had his worst night of the season against Brooklyn, going scoreless in 28 minutes. The Sixers were outscored by 25 points when Muscala was on the floor. Prior to Sunday's game, the Sixers were plus-59 when Muscala was on the court.
