Despite not participating in the big showcase during All-Star weekend, Joel Embiid is still going to be a busy man.
Already tabbed for the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, Embiid was named as a participant in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge.
Embiid's competition in the event will be New York's Kristaps Porzingis, Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins, New Orleans' Anthony Davis, Boston's Isaiah Thomas, Phoenix's Devin Booker, Utah's Gordon Hayward and Washington's John Wall.
The only thing that may slow down Embiid's activity level in New Orleans that weekend is his health. The rookie sensation, who was named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month again (see story), missed his fourth straight game on Thursday with a left knee contusion.
