Sixers 2018-19 TV Schedule: Here Are the Games You Can't Miss

The Sixers are going to be back on your television and streaming devices come this fall, with plenty of the action being brought to you by NBC Sports Philadelphia.

The team announced its full broadcast schedule for the 2018-19 season on Wednesday afternoon with 70 games to be featured on NBC Sports Philadelphia and NBC Sports Philadelphia+. Of those matchups, 62 will be aired on NBC Sports Philadelphia with the other eight taking place on NBC Sports Philadelphia+.

There will be plenty to keep an eye on when it comes to Brett Brown's squad. Let's take a look at the Sixers' top matchup from each month on NBCSP and NBCSP+. Below, you can find the full local broadcast schedule. 

Oct. 30 - Sixers at Raptors, 7:30 p.m., NBCSP+/NBATV

After spending a good chunk of the summer trying to work out trade parameters for Kawhi Leonard, the Sixers get their first look at the former Spurs star in a Raptors uniform. Throw in the fact that this is the opening meeting of a four-game season series with an Atlantic Division foe, and you can expect this game to be testy from the opening tip. You remember how heated things got between Simmons and Kyle Lowry last season, right?

Nov. 16 - Sixers vs. Jazz, 7 p.m., NBCSP

With less than a week to go before Thanksgiving, Donovan Mitchell will be anything but thankful when he gets an expected not-so-warm welcome at the Wells Fargo Center. A heated Rookie of the Year race between Mitchell and Simmons saw verbal jabs thrown on both sides before the Sixers' starting point guard comfortably won the award.

Dec. 30 - Sixers at Trail Blazers, 9 p.m., NBCSP

Not what you would expect to be a traditionally heated clash, but expect the Sixers' final game of 2018 to go out with a bang. The Sixers split the two-game series with the Blazers last season. However, it was the game in Portland on their annual holiday road trip that caused a bit of a stir when center Jusuf Nurkic took shots at Embiid after the Blazers' 114-110 win. You can bet "The Process" hasn't forgotten those words.

Jan. 31 - Sixers at Warriors, 10:30 p.m., NBCSP/TNT

The Sixers return to the lion's den known as Oracle Arena, home to the back-to-back champion Golden State Warriors. The Sixers had their best start to any game last season out by the bay when they ambushed the Dubs with a 47-point first quarter. They led by 22 points at halftime before getting outscored 47-15 during the third quarter in an eventual tough loss.

Feb. 21 - Sixers vs. Heat, 7 p.m., NBCSP+

In the first game back after the All-Star break, the Sixers should be well rested and ready for a fist fight. Each clash between these two teams during last season's first-round playoff series came down to pure physicality. This meeting shouldn't be any different.

March 20 - Sixers vs. Celtics, 7 p.m., NBCSP/ESPN

Speaking of postseason opponents, the Sixers will get the fourth and final crack at the hated Celtics on this night. Playoff positioning could be on the line, so expect both teams to be on top of their games and emotions to be running high. The Sixers will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back set, but seeing the colors of their top rival should help them push through the fatigue.

April 4 - Sixers vs. Bucks, 8 p.m., NBCSP/TNT

The Sixers and Bucks have forged a rivalry of their own over the past couple of seasons. It began with Milwaukee's owner taking shots at the Sixers, which of course prompted a response from trash talker extraordinaire Embiid. Adding to the intensity is the fact that both fan bases have joined in on the fun and the games have been extremely competitive. Don't expect that to stop anytime soon.
