Report: Mavs to Offer Possible Sixers Target Harrison Barnes Max Offer Sheet

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Dallas Mavericks intend to sign Warriors restriced free agent Harrison Barnes to a four-year, $95 million max offer sheet on July 7.

The Warriors, who have been aggresively pursuing free agent forward Kevin Durant, will likely match any offer sheet on Barnes if they fail to land Durant.

Barnes, 24, averaged 11.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this past season with the Warriors. He shot 46 percent from the floor, including 38 percent from three.

The Sixers have long been rumored to have had interest in Barnes. On a team that lacks outside shooters and has an excess of big men, Barnes would have been a good fit to add to a young Sixers core.
