DeAndre' Bembry, Josh Hart to Work Out for Sixers on Monday

The Sixers' first pre-draft workouts will take place on Monday and they'll have a local flavor to them.

St. Joe's star big man DeAndre' Bembry and Villanova standout forward Josh Hart will be among the six players who will work out on Monday for the Sixers.

Other players scheduled to participate Monday include VCU guard Melvin Johnson, Memphis forward Dedric Lawson, Louisiana-Lafayette forward Shawn Long and Seton Hall guard Isaiah Whitehead.

Bembry, a 6-foot-6 junior from Charlotte, North Carolina, averaged 17.1 points and 7.8 boards per game this season for the Hawks, en route to being named both the Big 5 Player of the Year and Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. He also led St. Joe's with 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He helped lead the Hawks to the second round of the NCAA Tournament where they fell to West Region top seed Oregon.

Bembry is considered by many draft pundits to be a first-round talent.

Hart, a 6-foot-5 junior from Silver Spring, Maryland, led the national champion Wildcats with 15.5 points per game last season. During the Final Four, Hart averaged 17. 5 points per game in wins over Oklahoma and North Carolina. For his efforts last season, Hart was named a unanimous first-team all Big East selection. He was also named to the Big 5's first team.

Hart has yet to sign with an agent, so he can pull his name out of the draft by May 25 if he chooses to do so.

All players working out with the Sixers on Monday will be made available to the media afterward.
