Last week, Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz were spotted in Cleveland for Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Ertz said the two Eagles were in attendance for just one reason: to recruit (see story).
After Wednesday's practice at the NovaCare Complex, Wentz was asked if he'd be willing to join some sort of welcoming committee for LeBron James in Philly.
The Eagles' franchise quarterback didn't hesitate.
"Absolutely," Wentz said. "I hope he's coming. Ertz and I were there the other night. Unfortunately, he lost and everything. I didn't really care who won in that game. But seeing that, seeing him live, we decided to make it a recruiting trip."
Wentz said he and Ertz didn't get a chance to talk to James, who will become a free agent after his Cavs were swept by the Warriors.

"Hopefully he knows we were there," Wentz said.
Wentz will be stuck in Philly over the next five weeks to rehab while the rest of his teammates will be spread out across the country during the longest downtime in the NFL schedule.
If he's already in town, maybe he can help to get James into town. Philly fans will allow Wentz to take a break from his budding friendship with Millville's Mike Trout.
