Ben Simmons: ‘I Actually Had a Poster of Allen Iverson in My Room'

Allen Iverson welcomed Ben Simmons to Philadelphia just minutes after he was selected first overall in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. A.I. also had some words of wisdom for the fellow No. 1 pick.

As it turns out, the duo may have shared a room together back in the day. Sort of.

Simmons was asked about what he remembered about Allen Iverson from growing up and the Australian shared that he had an Allen Iverson poster in his room as a kid.

"A lot of people don't know that I actually had a poster of A.I. in my room when I was young in my room. It was a big diamond-cut poster of him with the braids. I just remember him being one of those small guys, the point guard with braids, cornrows, and the headband. I remember I had some of those cornrows when I was younger.  He's one of those players that just faught everyday."

Simmons was also asked about his favorite cheesesteak, Pat's or Geno's? And he told the audience he's already had a Delasandro's (on Jimmy Fallon).

"Cheesesteaks, I'm going to find a lot of them," he said.

Eagles' quarterback Carson Wentz may want to come.
