Tonight's Lineup: No Nelson Cruz Or Carlos Ruiz for Mariners

The Phillies are going with their standard lineup Tuesday against deceptive Mariners left-hander Ariel Miranda.

Michael Saunders stays in the lineup. He and Odubel Herrera are the only left-handed hitters in the lineup. Saunders has been at least respectable against southpaws, going 7 for 29 (.241).

Despite some thought of Aaron Altherr's moving into more of a run-producing spot in the lineup, he remains in the two-hole. Altherr has reached base in 15 of his last 27 plate appearances, and he has either an extra-base hit or a multi-hit game in five of his last six.

Carlos Ruiz is not in the Mariners' lineup. Former Phillies farmhand Tuffy Gosewisch is behind the plate.
