Tonight's Lineup: Maikel Franco Out Again; Ryan Howard Sits Despite Success Vs. Marco Estrada

Maikel Franco is out for a third straight game Wednesday night in the Phillies' series opener against the Blue Jays at Citizens Bank Park.

Franco is dealing with a sprained right knee and is day to day.

Tommy Joseph gets another start at first base despite his mini-slump and Ryan Howard's solid career numbers against Blue Jays starter Marco Estrada.

Joseph is 0 for his last 13. Howard is 4 for 11 with a home run and three walks lifetime off Estrada, but Howard's also hit .099 in 98 plate appearances since April 30.

Joseph bats cleanup and is protected in the five-hole by Cody Asche.

The rest of the lineup is standard. Carlos Ruiz catches Jeremy Hellickson for the 13th time in Hellickson's 14 starts.
